GPT5 Thoughts

I was surprised to see that my model switched to GPT5 and no way to go back to GPT4 that is until I looked at their news release and saw everyone is being forced to GPT5. Okay.
So far I've not been impressed with GPT5. It feels like a rollback from GPT4.
For subject matter expertise it seems to behave the same or worse than GPT4. Is this one of those classic silicon valley moments where someone's going to tell us we're "holding it wrong"?
So far our Ollama models have actually done better than the GPT5 model in our Arena testing at CanXP.
Has anyone else been having the same experience with GPT5?

Feels like they reinforced the throttling of information; it feels more restrictive or rigid.
