Replacing Windows on older office PCs

Is it possible to run your new MapleOS on older office PCs? Like Windows 8/10 era PCs? I ask because recently our IT department asked for a budget to replace 40 PC workstations in our office and the cost was high and when I asked them about it they said technically there wasn't anything wrong with the hardware. Most of it all works but because we lapsed on our Windows licensing they said Microsoft was not willing to extend the lifetime of all our licenses and so they decided to replace ALL our PCs with Windows 11 AI PCs. And this really shocked me to tell the truth.

I'm sitting here with your MapleOS running on my desktop and I am thinking with minimal effort I could have this running on those PCs and it looks like it does all and then some for what we need.

It's a very nice system. I can't believe you are making all this free. Alot of people will be want to try this out. It's like x-mas morning round 2.

I saw there is a desktop client coming? When can we expect to see that?

Thank you.

Hi Joe. I'm the Architect behind MapleOS. Let me start off by saying thanks for the great question and thanks for being here!

We will be releasing our Windows build of MapleOS very shortly. While we're still in our infancy here - we've planned for all of this.

As a user, IT administrator you will be able to deploy MapleOS as an application install using our installer on exiting Windows installs.

We're also looking at bare metal deployment scenarios on PCs with no existing OS installed.
